This is a collection of insignia that I like, both fictional and real, and the only purpose they serve is that of eye candy and demonstration of the utter niftiness of the PNG image format. Click on the links or thumbnails below to jump to the gargantuan version of the respective thumbnail.
All images, without exceptions, are 24-bit PNGs and you need a modern browser to see them as intended. No image, with the exception of the Caduceus, have been resized from their original size. All images have been edited with Photoshop 7.0.
Alexander Krivács Schrøder has made SVG versions of some of these. Vector graphics trumps raster graphics any day of the week.
Yes, the Dryden logo is unreasonably gigantic; stop whining and get a better monitor. :-)
